Lovers Beach - Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas is a world-famous vacation
and spa
destination. Every year, thousands of tourists

go to Cabo to relax and
have a good time. If
you go to Cabo San Lucas, you must not miss the

 breathtaking view at Land's End,
as well as Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach)
a photogenic marvel seen in many travel ads.

This small piece of paradise is difficult to get to on foot.
 To reach
it, you must hire a water taxi at the marina, rent a kayak

 at El Medano
beach, or perhaps climb aboard one of many dive

 boats you can find along
the waterfront. If you’re feeling adventurous,

 you could also try to
climb the rocks from Playa Solmar

(but this option is not exactly
recommended).

If you choose to hire a water taxi, for a $10
round trip you will be
taken on an informative tour of the diving areas

 around the arch (El
Arco), then go around the Lover's Beach for

a wonderful view of the
magnificent area where the Sea of Cortez

meets the Pacific Ocean. Before
boarding the water taxi, it's recommended that

 you pack a lunch and
take some water with you, so you can spend

 the day enjoying the
beautiful Lover's Beach

(there's no food available on the beach).
Remember to ask your skipper to come

back for you at a pre-determined
time.

Once on the beach, you'll find yourself
surrounded by smooth rock
formations and water on both sides.

It's an great spot to catch some
sun
rays and see many whales, dolphins and sea

 lions swimming around you. A
word of caution: swimming or snorkeling in this

area can be very
dangerous, so try it only at your own risk!

The powerful currents and
waves of the Pacific Ocean make this area a

not-so-perfect place for
this kind of activities, and many travelers have

reported being pushed
up against the rocks and scraped badly while

swimming or snorkeling.
Other than that, you can have a wonderful

experience on Lover's Beach.
The view is breathtaking, and the people

 there are extremely nice.

Some of the other beautiful beaches that you can
find in Cabo San Lucas are Medano Beach
(also called the Dune Beach, the safest swimming
 beach in Cabo San Lucas
and the most popular), Divorce Beach

(great for sunbathing and relaxing,
but very dangerous for swimming) and Solmar Beach

 (a wide stretch of
white sand beach facing the Pacific Ocean).

Please don't forget your
camera, as you'll take some great

pictures to show your friends back
home!
